Inchara Greenhands celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2025 in collaboration with the farming community, marking the occasion with the launch of our Farmer-Supportive Monsoon Agroforestry Plantation Drive for this year. As part of our commitment to sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship, we have set an ambitious target of planting 1 lakh saplings this year.
To kickstart this initiative, we planted around 1,000 saplings alongside our dedicated Inchara Greenhands volunteers and local farmers of Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu. These agroforestry plantations are designed not only to enhance biodiversity and soil health but also to provide long-term benefits to the farming community — including improved crop yields, shade for livestock, enhanced microclimates, and potential income from timber, fruits, or medicinal plants.
Together, we are nurturing a greener tomorrow, rooted in resilience and rural empowerment.
